Casa Europa México is honored to present Mexican guitarist Morgan Szymanski, regarded as one of the finest performers of his generation.Born in Mexico City in 1979, Szymanski began his training at the National School of Music (UNAM) and the Edinburgh Music School (Scotland). His career has taken him to the world’s most prestigious venues, including Wigmore Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, and the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico.
Among his distinctions are first prize at the National Guitar Competition in Mexico, the Young Concert Artists Trust in London, and in 2015 he was selected by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs as one of the 100 Mexican artists with the greatest international impact.
He has performed as a soloist and with orchestra in more than 20 countries, collaborating with world-class ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra, and the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra. He has also shared the stage with world-renowned artists such as John Williams, Carlos Bonell, Elizabeth Watts, and the Carlos Chávez Quartet.
His discography includes acclaimed recordings such as The Unicorn in the Garden, Machaca – Mano a Mano, Los Ambulantes, and El Árbol de la Vida. In addition, he is the founder of the P.R.I.S.M.A. program, a social initiative that has brought the arts to more than 20,000 children in underserved communities in Mexico.
