Javier García Lascurain is a Mexican pianist born in 1979 in Mexico City. He began his musical studies at the age of 7 and continued his training in Querétaro with Marta García Renart. At 18, he won 1st place in the Esperanza Cabrera State Competition. Later, he studied in Mexico City with Ana María Tradatti and Mauricio Náder, and then in Quebec with pianist Arturo Nieto-Dorantes, earning the "Bruno Biot" scholarship. He has also taken classes with Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Prats.

In parallel with his musical training, he studied Industrial Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has performed as a soloist with various orchestras and has appeared in Mexico, Canada, Spain, and Brazil. He currently resides in Querétaro, where he directs a music academy, balancing teaching with his concert career. His upcoming engagements include opening the 2025 piano concert season at Casa Europa in San Miguel de Allende and a performance in Quebec.
