An Unforgettable Piano Recital: Sofia Sacco in San Miguel de Allende
From the stages of Europe and Asia, acclaimed Italian pianist Sofia Sacco arrives at Casa Europa México for a unique evening of music.
On Sunday, September 7, 2025, San Miguel de Allende will have the privilege of hosting one of the most outstanding pianists of her generation, in a recital that takes us on a journey from the elegance of the Baroque to the dramatic intensity of the 20th century.

About the Artist: Sofia Sacco
Born in Italy, Sofia Sacco has captivated audiences throughout Europe and Asia, with over 100 recitals in prestigious venues such as Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Gohliser Schlösschen in Leipzig, and Pushkin House in London. She has won first prize in competitions including the Bach International Music Competition and the A. Baldi International Piano Competition.
Trained at London’s prestigious Royal Academy of Music, Sofia is not only an exceptional performer but also a profound scholar of music. Her greatest passion is the work of Dmitri Shostakovich, and she is currently recording his complete works for piano. Audiences at this concert will hear live selections from her newly released album (July 2025) dedicated to the composer’s Preludes and Fugues.
A woman of many talents, Sofia also holds a degree in Physics from the University of Padua.
