About Craig Rubano
Craig Rubano has followed his voice on a remarkable journey—from a multilingual childhood in South America to international tours with The Whiffenpoofs, from Broadway (as Marius Pontmercy in Les Misérables) to concert stages around the world, and from recording studios to the pulpit as a minister.
His Broadway credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel (original cast), and Animal Crackers (Goodspeed). His acclaimed recordings and performances include Finishing the Act, Change Partners: Life’s a Dance, The Night They Invented Champagne, Stepping into Love: Harold Arlen in the Thirties, At Long Last Love: The Music & Lyrics of Cole Porter, and A Birthday Party for Sir Noël Coward.
In 2024–25, Craig returned triumphantly to the stage with Take the Moment at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, earning a second Backstage Bistro Award, in addition to his Palm Springs Desert Star Award and four MAC Awards.
He holds degrees from Yale College, Columbia University, and Princeton Theological Seminary.
Pianist, organist and conductor Malcolm Halliday has performed in the United States, Mexico and Europe, both as a soloist, conductor, and in collaboration with singers, instrumentalists, and orchestra. As pianist, he has performed frequently with historical pianos from museum and private collections, using period instruments in concerts at Jordan Hall and Faneuil Hall in Boston, Mechanics Hall in Worcester, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and other locations throughout New England. A champion of more recent and contemporary music, Malcolm Halliday can also be heard on two recordings of the music of the American composer Leo Sowerby, released through Albany Records. He is also heard on numerous other recordings, including British art songs with tenor Stanley Wilson, and Schubert’s Winterreise with bass-baritone Robert Osborne, recorded with an original 1828 piano by the Viennese builder Conrad Graf from the E. Michael Frederick Collection. A former dean of the Worcester Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, in 2007 he obtained the highest level of certification as a Fellow (FAGO) of the American Guild of Organists. He is Artistic Director of Chorale San Miguel.
