A night of music and celebration in honor of the legacy of Mrs. María Abel! This special event aims to promote culture in San Miguel de Allende, just as Mrs. María Abel, former president of Casa Europa México, did. Save the date for January 19th at 6 pm on San Francisco Street #23, Downtown San Miguel de Allende. Tickets are available for only $350 pesos!

Yunuet Laguna

Yunuet Laguna, from Zacatecas, is a graduate of the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City. She received a scholarship for the San Miguel Bel Canto Institute in the 2018 Sinaloa Competition and emerged as the winner in the inaugural round of the MetOpera's Laffont Competition in the Mexico District that same year. Immediately afterward, she was recruited into the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the MetOpera, completing three years in the program in 2022, culminating in her solo debut on the MetOpera stage as Kate Pinkerton in Puccini's "Madama Butterfly." This was followed by her solo debut in Latin America as Mimi in "La Bohème" in July 2022 in Santiago, Chile. Her talent has been recognized with awards and professional development scholarships from Opera America, the Hildegard Behrens Foundation, and the Joan Sutherland/Richard Bonynge Foundation. In October 2022, she was the only Mexican participant in the Plácido Domingo International Voice Competition, Operalia, in Riga, Latvia.
