Exposición del artista Peñalta cuya propuesta artística consiste en tomar a las placas de roca por lienzos y descubrir las historias que la naturaleza nos insinúa con sus vetas, en contraste con los sofisticados y rápidos avances en el área de inteligencia artificial y realidad virtual. La exposición se presenta en la Galería San Francisco de la Casa de Europa en México, dentro del marco del Festival de las Artes de San Miguel de Allende, del 4 al 20 de agosto del 2023, martes a domingo de las 10:00 a las 17:00 hrs. Lunes de las 10:00 a las 16:00 hrs.

 Vivimos una época en la que la inteligencia artificial se desborda y la realidad virtual se hace cada vez más presente. Grandes beneficios, sí, pero también inconvenientes. La verdad comienza a  perder fuerza y conforme pasan los días y las semanas, la incredulidad se va apoderando cada vez más de los seres humanos. En este contexto, el artista Peñalta plantea un acercamiento y revalorización de un elemento que nos ha acompañado desde nuestros inicios, lo sigue y lo seguirá haciendo mientras subsistamos: la roca. Aquella que, con sus miles o millones de años, podemos ver, tocar y sentir, dándonos tranquilidad y certeza. La propuesta creativa de este artista, consiste en tomar a las placas de roca por lienzo y observar lo que la naturaleza ha plasmado en ellas con sus vetas y tonalidades. Pinceladas milenarias que sugieren historias inacabadas que este artista se encarga de completar con sus óleos. Es una invitación para que el espectador entre en comunicación con la naturaleza a través de la roca. La obra de Peñalta es una respuesta, o quizá más bien, un tranquilizante contrapeso a los tiempos que estamos viviendo.

Exhibition of the artist Peñalta, whose artistic proposal consists of using rock slabs as canvases and uncovering the stories that nature hints at through its veins, in contrast to the sophisticated and rapid advances in the field of artificial intelligence and virtual reality. The exhibition will be held at the San Francisco Gallery of the Casa de Europa in Mexico, as part of the San Miguel de Allende Arts Festival, from August 4th to August 20th, 2023. The gallery will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Mondays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

"We live in a time when artificial intelligence overflows, and virtual reality becomes increasingly present. Great benefits, indeed, but also inconveniences. Truth begins to lose strength, and as the days and weeks go by, skepticism takes hold of human beings more and more. In this context, the artist Peñalta proposes an approach and revaluation of an element that has been with us since our beginnings, continues to accompany us, and will do so as long as we exist: the rock. This rock, with its thousands or millions of years, allows us to see, touch, and feel, providing us with tranquility and certainty. The creative proposal of this artist consists of using rock slabs as canvases and observing what nature has imprinted on them with its veins and hues. Millennia-old brushstrokes that suggest unfinished stories that this artist takes upon himself to complete with his oils. It is an invitation for the viewer to engage in communication with nature through the rock. Peñalta's work is a response, or perhaps more accurately, a soothing counterbalance to the times we are living in."
